I am a microbial ecologist. I have a B.A. from Wesleyan University, CT (Earth and Environmental Sciences), an M.S. from Northwestern University, IL (Environmental Engineering), and a Ph.D. from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Rehovot, Israel (Microbiology). I was previously a post-doctoral fellow at the NASA - Ames Research Center in the Exobiology Department, and a visiting assistant professor at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana), teaching Environmental Microbiology and Molecular Tools for Environmental Microbial Ecology. Currently, I am a research faculty member at Florida State University in the Oceanography Department, working for Dr. Joel Kostka on microbial remediation of Uranium-contaminated field sites.
